The unmanned successor to the famed SR-71, the SR-72 “son of Blackbird” is conceived as hypersonic reconnaissance aircraft employing a dual-mode turbine-based combined cycle engine capable of operating from subsonic to hypersonic speeds of mach 6.

The next evolution of first strike technology, hypersonic weapons can be ground, sea, and air-launched and accelerated to a speeds of up to Mach [ 21,000 km/h]. It will mean rapid delivery to conventional or nuclear warheads anywhere in the world, in less than an hour.

SB-1 Defiant

A part of military’s Future vertical lift [FVL] Program to replace the current helicopter fleet, sikorsky/Boeing’s SB-1 defiant will use coaxial rotors and a posher- propeller to overcome the 200-knot speed limit of most helicopters.

V-280 Valor

Bell helicopter’s tilt-rotor V-280 valor  will fulfill the role of medium-lift helicopter, with greater speed, range, and maneuverability than the current V-22 Osprey.

Carrier Based Aerial Refueling System

NAVAL TECHNOLOGY

Zumwalt-Class Destroyers

The USS Zumwalt, which was commissioned in October, is the first of a new class of futuristic, stealth guided-missile destroyers. In the future, these ships may include railguns and directed energy weapons (lasers)

Columbia-Class Nuclear Submarine

Designed to replace the current Ohio-class nuclear submarines, the Columbia-class will employ electric drives and a new design for unsurpassed stealth, together with a nuclear fuel core  that needs to replacement throughout the sub’s life.

ADVANCED WEAPON SYSTEMS

Electromagnetic (EM) Railgun

The EM railgun used electromagnetic fields to accelerate a projectile to speed of Mach 6-7; and projectile’s extreme kinetic energy does the damage, removing the need for explosive warheads. The Zumwalt-class destroyers partially designed to accommodate these weapons; and they may even be scaled done for time-based applications.

XN-1 LAWS

Believe it or not, laser weapons are already a part of military weaponry – the USS ponce is equipped with a fully functioning and authorized directed energy weapon XN-1 Laser weapon system (LaWS) is 30-KW infrared solid-state laser that’s already been used to destroy unmanned aerial and naval vehicles in simulated attacks. Future version may be installed on AC-130 gunships.

The XS-1 program aims to create autonomous space planes with aircraft-like capability and turnaround; in other words, they can launch satellites [or other objects] at least once a day, and swiftly respond to hostile enemy actions in space.
